Fishing Rules and Regulations



All fishing permits can be purchased from Weymouth Angling or Reels and Deals. Permits CANNOT be purchased on the bank.


Ticket Prices:


  • £50 Adult season.

  • £35 OAP and Disabled season.

  • £25 Under 17s season.

  • £6 Adult, OAP and Disabled day permit.

  • £4 Under 17s day permit.

  • £20 weekly permit for all.



  • 1)All fishermen must hold a valid Environment Agency licence, which must be produced to a card-holding R.L.A.S bailiff.

    2)The holder is permitted to fish for game and coarse fish with rod and line only (3 rods maximum with additional rod licence).

    3)All fish to be returned unharmed, except Trout over 10”.

    4)Fishing is only permitted in the areas shown on the reverse of the permit. Sections A and B will be closedin extreme Winters. This will be indicated by signs during mid-October to March.

    5)All carp fishermen must use a suitable unhooking mat.

    6)Anglers must not leave litter/tackle or interfere with any wildlife. If caught, they will face a 12 month ban.

    7)Barbed hooks are not permitted.

    8)Any Carp that are sacked for photo purposes must be sacked for the shortest period possible.

    9)Live baiting will not be tolerated.

    10)An angler must vacate his/her swim after 72 consecutive hours, and not Return to the same swim/platform for 24 hours.

    11)No boats of any description are allowed.

    12)No baited rods or shelters are to be left unattended at any time, removal of such equipment will take place.

    13)All under-16's must be accompanied by an adult when night fishing.

    14)Environmentally friendly keepnets are allowed, but no carp over 3lb are to be retained in the keepnet.

    15)All bivvies are to be secured down with cup hooks or screws, not nails.


    Failure to comply with the above rules will lead to a warning or a ban from the reserve. Any form of harassment directed at the R.L.A.S baliffs will lead to police presence and could result in prosecution.
